Anastacia on her cancer op: ""In my naivety, I thought reconstruction would just be like scooping out mashed potato from one part and dolloping it into another; I had no idea how incredibly painful it would be.Afterwards I was crying with pain, I didn't want to move and my energy was just so low."*2004* ~~~~~ Anastacia at start of her 2005 European Live at Last Tour (feb 2005) ~ "It was wonderful. I loved it! It is always hard to come back from a little break when you take some time off so my “sea legs” have come back on and I am excited to be back. I am excited to connect with my fans again. We are going to some new territories that I am excited to go to and some of the old territories as well where apparently the people, bless their hearts,did not get enough!" ~~~~~~~ "I JUST WANT MY AUDIENCE TO UNDERSTAND, to HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGh BE PROUD OF WHAT YOU GOT, LOVING YOUR WHOLE SELF. Most people don't, understand that part of enjoying what you're doing on this earth, is to enjoy the moment you're in. Instead of worrying about the moment you've just had, or stressing about the moment you're gonna have. And then all the moments you could've experienced so beautifully have passed you by. And you can't get them back. Honey, it's all about the REAL world." ~~~~~~ ''I was more hurt because I had no way of calling, in seven minutes, all of my friends who might have potentially seen this on the news. A lot of my acquaintances ended up calling me and laughing, saying, 'I've heard the craziest shit on the TV!' And I had the hardest time putting the word cancer and my name in the same sentence.'' (talking about her being outed with cancer via the media) ~~~~~~ ''I'm happy, proud of what I do. I'm working so hard, concentrating on the new single and loving it. Everyday I learn something.
